"Hi Sara!" haha. I will try to keep this short and interesting... I have had birds of many species on and off for most of my 40 years. I am an inactive registered veterinary technician (read: stay at home Mom). I have two beautiful, busy, smart and sweet daughters, ages 6 and 4. I have a wonderful, tolerant husband of 9 years. I have shown, and currently show and breed Pembroke Welsh Corgis on a limited basis. My recent addiction to Tiels started with Lily, a pet WF pearl. But then...I realize the difference, the vast difference, between pet and show quality tiels. ANd that was it...I've always appreciated a well bred animal...and cockatiels are no exception. After doing homework on the different Cockatiel clubs, I decided NCS was where I wanted to be....as most of the birds I found to have "the look" I preferred were from top NCS breeders and I quickly got used to seeing their band numbers in the birds I liked. My first quality birds came from Peggy and Jesse Avila, and what a wonderful experience! Sandy Warren has been a great and generous mentor as well and I continue to learn from the many wonderful people I have met in this new adventure...Leslie H and I have a scary amount of things in common...and though I think her birds are awesome, birds are just one of many subjects we discuss! Short and interesting, I seem to have forgotten about that. Sorry. Though I could go on, I'll call this good for now. Sara Kaminski Annara Aviary www.marpran.com

Love the intro, how cute. I have to agree, tiels are very adictive, and especially when they are well bred although I must say I have a soft spot for the odd balls too. Even when they are unable to show, they make such wonderful and loveing pets. Blessings and welcome, Ruth
