Hi, am getting a Tiel after 10 years!

I am so excited. I am getting a tiel soon! I have several outdoor birds (chickens,turkeys,ducks and geese) but just recently got myself some Budgies, a pair of finches and am getting a cockatiel. I will be buying from a breeder and I hope to be getting a Cinnamon Pearl boy.

Years ago I had a Lutino and another that I cannot remember her coloration name...she was spotted...anyway, I gave up after I'd had those two for 4 years and lost them!I had moved into the city for a while from down south so I could look for another house.Well, me not knowing ANYTHING about city life, did not realize the adeptness of the city squirrels....it was a nice day out so i had the cage hanging on the back porch....the squirrel had climbed the porch pillar, jumped over to the hanging cage and got a seed cup out of the cage and the tiels flew out of the open hole.... The reason i know it was a squirrel is because he was still IN the cage!! He panicked and couldn't figure out how to get out!

It was terrible! They never did come back even though I had them both hand trained!It still bothers me ten years later to not know what happened to them!

I am just now ready to try again....this time, no squirrels allowed!!!

Thank you. I did get my tiel...he is a cinnamon pearl pied and his name is Sunny. He is quite nervous right now but he will hopefully settle down soon....
