This week the worst day happened... my 17 year old cockatiel "Joey" passed away. There is nothing that helps, there are no words, it feels like the sun has stopped shining and its been raining since Tuesday.
Can't go grocery shopping or go down certain aisle because of the things she liked to eat. She saw me through every joy and sorrow in my life. Its hard to find people who understand the loss of a family member like this. There is nothing but an ache that lives in my heart constantly. I hate time but I know it will be my friend someday again.
I loved my bird more than I thought possible and I will love her forever.
