Hello everyone,
I want to start showing my birds and needed some information. Questions i have to you guys are, can i create my own pedigrees for my birds who don't have a pedigree?, are pedigree birds the only birds that can be showed?

I don't have any answers to your questions. If you are on facebook, try asking on our facebook page. There are a lot of people on there with show birds. They should be able to answer your questions.

mrlee18 - You don't need a pedigree to show. It helps if your bird has a band to identify him or her in order to receive points or to get on the top bench. But you can show at the novice level and still win novice ribbons. All you need to do is start training your bird to show. A show box is almost a necessity, you can show in a small cage but it makes it really difficult for the judge. Getting a show box to show and then working with your bird is what you need. Where are you located?

Thank You for your help. I live in Sacramento, California, i understand that i need show cages, i am currently building my own. Just need a little help on the the cage requirements, im still looking to see if there are any and if there is what are they.
