As I mentioned in my introduction post, I just lost my white-face male cockatiel this past weekend. I want to find another male white-face cockatiel but they are pretty rare and hard to find. I will be happy with any loving cockatiel, whether it is white-face or not, just as long as it is young and healthy and friendly. I prefer a male because they sing and whistle the most.
Does anyone here know of a well respected breeder, aviary, or pet store in VA where I could purchase one? I am a bit ify about the pet store that is located here in Staunton, because it seems they buy the birds from just anyone who considers themselves a "breeder" and they are not being cared for in a "loving" way, in my opinion. For example, I went there today and asked if a cockatiel that they had in the store was a male or female and she reached in and just grabbed it. Now, I know the bird wasn't tame and was trying to run away from her, but she seemed to just manhandle the bird and when it tried to bite her, she just dropped it back into the cage.
I'm looking for one that is under one year of age and who is very tame and friendly and was raised in a loving home. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Sorry I don't know of any place or any breeder in Virginia where White-face Cockatiels are sold.
I can post on the National Cockatiel Society's Facebook page and ask the people there where can a White face be purchased.

Hello Rachelle - I too recently lost my beloved Petie (Pied) and am interested in obtaining another cockatiel. I was wondering if you found a respectable place/breeder?

I would recomend Allysandra Young in VA. I don't think she has white faces, but you could check. She is a very nice lady and really cares about her birds. Here is her web site. They are worth the money. www.windsongcockatiels.com/
