In general, your website is hard to use. There is no contact information, no information about upcoming shows, no leg band info.

Is the band a National Cockatiel Society band ( it would have the initials NCS )?

Is the band a National Cockatiel Society band ( it would have the initials NCS )? No, it has AAA Ok then it is not registered with one of our breeders. Can you post the leg band number? Where did you get the bird?

I am the website editor. The National Cockatiel Society has contact information located in several different places including on the main page under Membership Information/Contacts. Upcoming show information is under "Exhibition" and is under the subtopic "Shows". Are you sure you are on the correct website? All this information is laid out very thoughtfully on the top menu bar. To answer your question, The AAA band is not an NCS band but is a band mainly used by "big box" type stores such as Petco or Petsmart. Unfortunately, NCS only can trace NCS registered legbands back to their breeder. In my experience AAA legbands are not traceable an are a generic legband. Sorry we can't help further. We hope you will come back and visit our website at www.cockatiels.org. We have an extensive learning library and our members even have a special members only library. Thanks for visiting!

That's why I asked
That's why I asked GM where did he/she get the bird, because I did a search on AAA legbands and found on another website of one person with a parakeet and the bird legband had AAA and came from petsmart. Petco and Petsmart get their birds from a large breeding facility such as Kaytee Preferred Birds Program.
GM may I ask why do you want to contact the breeder?

If you are looking for a leg band that is not registered to one of the societies you can try leg band numbers, can't remember the whole site listing, but they have many aviaries registered there and can also do some research for bands that are not listed there. However some leg bands are so generic no records are kept on them including the manufacturer. Good Luck
