So my bird laid and egg- it was cracked at the bottom of the cage... We threw it away... Now 2 days later another egg- in tacked.. So i bought a nesting box, placed the egg with in, and now I am waiting to see what happens.. Mookie is the male bird and I am uncertain if they mated... I never seen them do anything other then preen each other, but once their blanket goes on their cage who knows? Ok here's my question: If they are mating and these eggs are indeed fertilized- will they take to the nesting box? Right now they are freaked out by it.. Will Lola know her egg is in there? Do they have a sense and need to nest and go into the nesting box? Is it common just to place an area in the bottom of their cage for Lola to lay her eggs? They are being more aggressive towards me- is that a sign they are fertile eggs? Do they do this even if the eggs are duds? Thanks for reading... I hope everything works out with my birdies!! Any advice and tips to make this a success is super appreciated!!

The reason they are being more aggressive is they are trying to protect their eggs.
They should take to the nesting box. The because they are freaking out is because they are not use to it.
You can put it on the bottom of the cage. They'll eventually get use to it and go in it.
