Good morning!!! We had a man come by last week and he told us to never give our birds bird seed to only give pallets and fresh veg's. and fruit. And don't ever give them millet. That was not why we called him though. Last week we had 5 babies die from 3 weeks to 5 weeks of age. We were using pineapple juice to mix with the baby hand feeding food. And was using a tube to feed them he told us to never give them pineapple juice or to use a tube. So my question is how many feed bird seed and millet? and does anybody feed the babies with mixing with pineapple juice and use a tube. thank you Judy

Realize this thread is a bit old but wanted to chine-in. We've fed KatoBird box after box of millet. This went on for years. It was in addition to seed. There was a time during his transition to being unable to move that millet was the only thing we could attach to his cage. It worked for the time but we've since figured out ways to feed him seed again. Although, it's just finch seed. He still poops and eats like a champ. Turn 31 this spring.

Chirpy on a diet of mixed seed and pellets. I give her some millet, broccoli, cornflakes, rice crispies, Fresh Baked Oven Bites, Baked Birdie Munchies, Nutri-berries, and Avicakes.
