Has or does anyone use an incubator to hatch out their eggs? Having raised chickens for about sixty years, I have used an incubator with great success with them. Actually, the hatch rate using an incubator is much higher than a broody hen. Just wondering about the use with this breed of bird.

I have never raised baby birds, but I know from visiting other bird forums and from books is you can use an incubator to incubate Cockatiel eggs.

I have friends who have used incubators to hatch cockatiel eggs, however typically only when the parents have proven to be poor sitters and when the person has time to handfeed from day one.
Personally, instead of using an incubator, I foster eggs to proven pairs that love to raise babies and sit well. I do not always have time to care for day one babies and prefer to leave my babies with the parents when almost 3 weeks old....especially in the winter when we are prone to power outages.
