Are fresh sunflowers food for my birds? I planted many differnet types of them around my garden this year and have to many. My chickens love them and I thought maybe my tiels would too.

My chickens love them and I thought maybe my tiels would too. from wiki: Edible blossoms and flowers: carnations, chamomile, chives, dandelion, day lilies, eucalyptus, fruit tree blossoms, herbs' blossoms, hibiscus, honeysuckle, impatiens, lilac, nasturtiums, pansies, passion flower (Passiflora), roses, sunflowers, tulips, violets. Note that the leaves of some of these plants are poisonous to Cockatiels. |
