Hello. Im new to this board and thought maybe someone can give me some much needed and wanted help. Yesterday my family went to a wedding and when we came home our tiels head was turned upside down as if she is looking at the top of her cage. She was fine before we left. We cant find a vet in our area anywhere that treats birds. Can anyone please tell me what this might be and how we can help her? We are willing to do anything it takes to try to help her get better. We have been giving her fluids by hand and she can move her neck to put up a fight. She has a lot of fight and strength in her.

That really sounds like she has hurt her head somewhere. What you are describing is something called "star gazing". Feel free to google it but I think you may find this article interesting: www.avianweb.com/stargazing.htmlLeslie

Thank you for the site. It does look like one of the pictures on the top of the page. I was wondering if anyone had a recipe for food that we can feed her until we are able to get to the pet store tomorrow?

If seed supply is short, you can offer wholewheat bread, any kind of cereal with no sugar on it. such as cheerios or grape nuts, fresh broccoli or any other greens or vegetables. Scrambled eggs are also good to offer.
