My sweet bird CC, has a tumor and it is pressing on a nerve causing CC to not be able to use her leg. My question is should I put her to sleep now or try to let her die @ home? She has eaten and drank very little. She is @ the vets now and they say there is some treatment but it would go in the thousands of dollars and most likely would not work well. Can I somehow put her to sleep @ home so she can die with us? Or do I let her flop around on the bottom of the cage untill she dies? Or do I let the vet put her to sleep? Can I be there to hold her while they put her to sleep?

This is a personal decision for you. I would definately get a second opinion with another vet. I am not questioning your vet but it is very appropriate to get a second opinion. There is nothing you can give your bird safely to put her to sleep at home. Most birds don't "flop" around when they pass. Most do it very quietly and when you are not around.

Has she had an x-ray that confirmed a tumor?
