I know quinoa is a great food source for birds. I was just wondering if it has to be cooked before feeding it to cockatiels.

Yes, you need to cook the quinoa before giving it to your cockatiels. You do not have to cook as if you were going to eat it, but it has to be soft enough that when the birds drink water that it will not expand in their crops.
