can you put up a real christmas tree or a fake one up with no lights just decorations, or is it best not to have one at all?

Whatever kind of tree you use and decorations, it is safest to keep all birds off of it.

You can house same-gender cockatiels together so long as both are in good health and they get along well. When first introducing birds that have not formerly been housed together it is important to keep an eye on them as they may squabble a bit. If the birds were acquired from different sources you should observe standard quarantine procedures. If they were all from the same source or hatched at your place this is not necessary.
