So since I saw that NCS is a non-profit according to the website, does that mean the membership dues could be deductible??? I was just curious... Thanks Jean

Hi Jean! I wish! Although it may be tax deductible on the business end (as professional dues deduction), its not considered a charitable deduction. In order to be considered a tax deduction for a charity, you have to give money and receive nothing in return. As a part of membership, you get a Journal (benefit) and opportunity to buy leg bands (another benefit), therefore, no, you can't take it as a charitable contribution. But, if you give us $100 as a "gift", write it off!
