I am new to the group - Hi!

I everyone. My name is Bobbi and I have a cockatiel named Charley.

I got invited to join by a sweet and caring lady named Ruth. I think everyone here knows who that is.

I rescued him from a home of neglect and loneliness. I am trying to improve his life and make whatever time he had left wonderful.

He is about 10 years old. Maybe older. I try to get him interested in toys, but no luck yet.

I spend as much time with him as possible. I sometimes think too much.

He helped me get through the worst time of my life when I lost my dog Hayley who was 21 years old. I got Charley about 4 months before that and he kept me sane.

I hope to learn a lot here and hope to meet some new friends.

I have a wf tiel that was suppose to been a breeder male 5 years ago . He had been in his cage all the time with no toys . So he new nothing about toys and there know way you could scratch his head or touch him . But he would get up on your finger . I have worked with him these five years . and now once in a while he lets me scratch his head . They said he was 3 when I got him and I have had him 5 yrs , So I would say he is 8 or more now . So it takes alot of patient .I have learned to except what Skipper gives back to me . He doesn't even sing . But he loves to be on my shoulder when am on the computer and I put Tiel Town on . Now he will whistle when it is on .
