help with cage mess

Hello Everyone
I'm a past owner from years ago that just aquired two 7 month old cockatiels. The cage is 21 inches deep and 23 1/2 inches wide. I've had the birds four days now and the mess around the cage is a disaster. It seems to me when I was quite younger I remember seeing a kind of cloth basket that the cage would sit in and connect to the sides of the cage. Any help form here would be great.

I believe what you are asking about is called a bloomer. You Can buy them at cages 4 less on line. Some large pet stores carry them also. It is faster to just make one. Take an old sheet and a wire coat hanger. Cut the sheet to size and sew it on the hanger. Then with a piece of wire attach it to the cage. Any spilled seed is caught in the sheet. to clean just remove the sheet and dump.
