My female cockatiel is about 7 years old, she is very healthy, eats, poops and drinks, she is in a very large cage with a male. She has laid some eggs. I have noticed today that she has orange specks on her face and back. She isn't itching or picking her feathers, she is acting fine. She is light yellow and very happy, but I wonder if anyone can tell me what the orange specks are. thanks.

Has she been eating colored food (carrots) or colored pellets? Could her companion be picking at her?
