she layed egg under my chair

My female lay and egg today under my chair she does has a nesting box but wont get in it. I have put the egg in there and still wont get in or the male wont either this is here 2nd time having eggs the first ones she had she layed them in the bottom of another cage i have i dint keep them cage up they come and go but i do have her locked up now please some one help

What is the size of the hole in the nesting box? If not the right size they will not use the box
